Tricky Challenge -->1.6 TD - Golf Mk II restoration project

This summer I`ve started a low buget restoration project on my 1987 MK 2 VW Golf with 1.6 Turbo Diesel engine. It was a tricky shit, because I have worked alone on the project and my tools were pretty primitive.
It took about five months to finish the work and came out well.
Now Mark has the same type of engine but I had mounted an intercooler so he has a little bit more power.
I worked a little on the interior and the seats, but I kept it classic.
Enjoy !!!

So...

So...
I had some free time from the job and i started to question me about what's so attractive about Motorcycles.
At the beginning i was fascinated about the riding 2 wheels with an engine...it was very  different from riding bicycles, you could enjoy the riding and not be exhausted from the pedaling.I started with an IZH 350 2 stroke engine.
After a short while i was riding an enduro Honda xl600r and was amazed of the beauty riding free trough the mountains of Romania. They say "it's never enough" so i bought an speed bike...a Honda VFR750...and Mann that baby was fast and bad...it's really bad ass that V4 engine.
So...in the meantime i started rebuilding that old IZH from the 60's and along with that I discovered my love for old machines. Along the time i started to modify bikes and was fascinated about cafe racers and racing bikes.
I think it's not the riding, not the speed, not the mastering of the terrain and not the looks that's keeps me focused...it's the cranking up that engine and feel the revs in your soul no matter if it's 2 or 4 stroke, single, two ore what ever cylinder engine ...so...
What keeps you in the culture?
Here are some bikes that i owned or still own.
Bye!
Paulie
